the 90 LX was the cream of the crop... it had the best and most options of all North American Festivas

i used to have a 90lx... this was nice and loaded, power seatbelts, rear window wiper/washer, rear defrost, power mirrors... 5spd trans and fuel injection!

now Ive just got an 88l converted to lx from my 88lx parts car...

pwr seatbelts didn't come in until 90 did they... because my 88 has all the other options (minus FI of course)... i miss my power seatbelts... they were nice to have...
1992 Festiva... BP-T, Escort G5MR, no crossmember, aspire brakes, Megasquirt, Toyota COP's, coilovers and 6 puck SPEC clutch!

T3/T4 Turbo Power! G5MR and BP since '04!

You are alone in that opinion...

Most of us (me included) despise them.

actually I am one of those that like them.. I am real bad about seat belts and constantly got pulled over in other cars for not wearing them.. I have yet to have to pay a no seatbelt ticket since Ive owned my Festivas...

In that sense you are right - they can be really handy!

No offense intended to anyone - I'm just going by what the masses (or, them asses) say.

Driving my Dad's old '91 Civic with those belts put me off, partly because the driver's side retractor thingy didn't work and I banged my head on it countless times getting in and out...

I guess everyone has different likes and dislikes.
