How do you remove the upper vinyl door trim from the doors on GLs?. I don't want to tear them up as I remove them. Thanks.

glued. take the door panel (clips) /armrest/map pocket/lock knob off. warm the garnish CAREFULLY! with a hair dryer on LOW, just enough heat to warm the adhesive but not distort the vinyl. use a thin plastic or metal putty speader and start lifting it along its length at the bottom edge that was hidden by the door panel. you want to work the heat and spreader left to right or right to left to be able to eventually flip the garnish up towards the window. BE CAREFUL! these are unobtainable new from ford or kia.

I removed a pair once simply by slowly pulling it off lenghwise, but F3BZ's method sounds a lot better. Since I haven't reused mine yet I have no idea if it was stretched too much out of shape to look good.
It does seem, however, that someone could use an original set as a template to make a good copy that is nice enough to use. Vinyl, some thin foam, and adhesive?
