  • SAIPA grilles and headlights

    These two are particularly tasty

love the bonnet in this one... adds a bit of prestige and new lines to the car.. almost makes it look new in some ways.

    images.jpg

not sure how the new front bumper would fit with regular front quarter panels.. possibly have to import them too unless it's a match.

anyone from iran in here that could verify this? also could they measure the hood please if you have an opportunity.

    thanks.

if it's from Iran, pease, PLEASE, don't post it here. it's nothing but a tease for us in the States. We can't touch anything like that.

With very few exceptions, if it came from Iran it's illegal to import it into the United States. Even if it goes through another country first.

I know, I looked into it. Would love to get some Saipa parts.

hrrrm what if i were to label them with something innocuous like "Festiva Bumper and Bodykit"?

i have had things from china labelled as things they aren't and they get by easy.

and if the "KIT" was from australia, with no known origin as such (without identification), it should be negligable.

Wow, those are some ridiculously insane penalties for something so stupid.

Who is to say they came from Iran once they end up in another country?
As long as they don't say "made in Iran" on the parts, you can just say they are any old car parts. Hell even if it does say "made in Iran" on it somewhere, file it off.

Now I will say the risk far outweighs the benefits, but I am just saying there are ways around things.

i have seen a few tail lights in the mean time that might whet your whistles.

The biggest set are from a VW transporter 4
The red ones are from a VW jetta 90-97 i believe.

jawbraeka: anything related to the Sapia is taboo here. we can look, but can't touch. any and all parts related to that manufacture CANNOT be brought to the States due to an embargo on Iran. also: we can't get those parts from Venezuela either because the parent country of origin is Iran.

any marketing you could possibly do could only be to those OUTSIDE the States.

Maybe we could get Dennis Rodman to go over there and convince them to stop their Nuke program? Isnt that the reason for the embargo?

i tell you what, i haven't met so many nervous yanks before.. it's all good.

i'll tell you what, if homeland security happen to be tracking a pair of SAIPA PRIDE headlight housings to a house in the USA, i take full responsibility for the international incident that a Headlight housing would cause.. really i would..

I'm sorry OBAMA, I didn't realize that a simple "Keep together group" like fordfestiva.com we're really responsible for the deaths of 1ooo's of people and bad blood between countries.. i didn't realize car parts were the #1 reason you went to war.. I'm Sorry.

                              PFFFT screw that.

Ok, sarcasm aside, if anyone isn't comfortable with the idea that i send it to them, then i can easily mark the package 'Ford Festiva Parts' instead of 'Saipa Pride parts'..
