Torque. Did you dye your door cards? Do you mind sharing what you used to do this?

Prelude seats were not that hard to install, just need some steel from Lowes or Home Depot (Look like long unmarked rulers), nut & bolts, a hacksaw, and a drill with a big enough drill bit for the bolts.
Just pull them from a 92'-96' Prelude.
I got my pair of seats from a Junkyard for $50, that was including taxes and the environmental fee.

JY seats are an option for most people, but when buying JY seats you are stuck with factory colors which might match and might not match your interior. After putting over 300,000 miles on stock Fetiva seats inc several over 600 mile trips, I just had the good seats I had recovered to match my car. Its not the way most people would go , I know, but after spending over 2 yrs building this car, JY seats were not an option to me.Last edited by Team Lightning; 05-23-2013, 05:09 PM.

Yeah, I don't care for the stock seats even half $$ that much, but they do look nice.

I spent $320.00 on the front seats. They also did the new door panels I built along with the hatch cover which were $40.00.
I know that you can get just the covers on here for less but the local shop does show cars plus I like the quality of their work (and I didn't have to put them on).
They also repainted the frame and the plastic on the base. I took a paint chip from the paint used on the car and they matched it as close as possible.
Blue Lightning has the factory blue with a custom silver base under it.

Depends on your area and the shop. Take a drive over to an upholstery shop and get a quote.

I was thinking the same thing! How much does it cost to have them reupholstered?

Roughly how much would it cost to get something like that done? If its cost effective vs having to weld custom mounts and brackets I might go that route.Originally posted by Team Lightning View PostYes! They are stock Festiva seats.
