  • I want to change my 88' festiva car seats! a.s.a.p

Going to the junk yard this week
And i was wondering can i put any kind of seats on my festiva???
Like i want tl put some nice comfty seats
Do i need to change the railing or what??
    Help thanks guys!

Most seats you will find in the JY will need modifying in someway. Some its as simple as swapping the rails from your seats onto the new seats, others require building frames.
In the forum section, under custom interiors, you should find several threads on seats that have been installed and some threads have procedures on how to install them.
Also try the search button for many posts and threads on seats.

You're welcome and good luck. Unless you are determined to change the seats, you could always have your local upholstery shop recover your seats.
Here are the ones I'm installing in the car in my avatar.
Seats small.jpg Lightning is also getting new door panels and a hatch panel.

Yes! They are stock Festiva seats. I had them recovered to match my paint job and stripes on the car. A 93L.

Roughly how much would it cost to get something like that done? If its cost effective vs having to weld custom mounts and brackets I might go that route.

I was thinking the same thing! How much does it cost to have them reupholstered?

Depends on your area and the shop. Take a drive over to an upholstery shop and get a quote.

I spent $320.00 on the front seats. They also did the new door panels I built along with the hatch cover which were $40.00.
I know that you can get just the covers on here for less but the local shop does show cars plus I like the quality of their work (and I didn't have to put them on).
They also repainted the frame and the plastic on the base. I took a paint chip from the paint used on the car and they matched it as close as possible.
Blue Lightning has the factory blue with a custom silver base under it.

Haha, not when mitsubishi spyder seats cost 25$ and it takes less than half a roll of fluxcore wire wire to make brackets!
