cluster light mod possibility

I was wondering if anyone has gone from the stock cluster lights to ligts that come from behind the cluster?
I like my green cluster light, but I want it to be a bit darker and come from behind!

I believe the tach clusters are backlit, and if you replace the stock bulbs with LED's you can go with whatever color you so desire (I think it's the bulbs that are colored with a little condom thingy rather than the cluster numbers being colored.) Does anybody know if it's the same for the HVAC console thing in the center stack?

Milton here is a link to a mod I did on mine a few years back.
The 90 up clusters are lit from in front of the gauges via 2-4, I believe it's 74, bulbs.

The one bulb i pulled out of the hvac control was teeny tiny and had no condom thing.

The cluster can't be back lit because the backing is tin. It's made of metal. But you can convert to led and have some fun customizing it how you would like

Hmm. So tach cluster it is.
I think hobby shops ( the good ones) carry the tiny bulbs..in different colors.

LED strips work good too. I changed the blue one in the link for a red one. The Blue one is in Blue Lightnings cluster.
