After putting it off i found some time. . .
My 88 civic spoiler needed severe mods, im almost finishine with the. Bondo and paint and will post pic soon.
I had to cut mounting legs on spoiler,
Drill out bolt hole. This could mount to top of hatch and stick up higher, looks tacky and pointless so...
Gound spoiler edges at an angle,
Manufactured new brackets,
Bolted them into spoiler
Filled spoiler with insulation foam spray,
Sand and prep for bondo, bondo gaps near brackets covering foam filler,
Sand paint and mount....
Fyi rustolium has a yellow that matches OEM yellow fairly well. Ill also post that info.Yellow 91 festiva GL 5speed

Grind edges of spoiler to sit with body line
Make brackets
Before bondo and paint, test fitting angle
Mounted it today
I painted civic 3light. I have asparr lense, i might use later in place of festy 3rd light
