The only thing close to a front lip I have seen on a festiva belongs on cams car. He isn't active anymore but if you google festiva, his festiva is the really nicely set up blue one, with a weird front end. Its actually off from a ford ranger, and works for him, he also is using a honda civic oem bumper shortened slightly.

The boxy style civics where like 2 inches wider for bumpers, and I guess you could modify a lip from that one to fit on yours, if your good with fiberglassing and paint. Shouldn't take much work

It was a Splash ,I think they are a little different than a standard Ranger.
I thought the Splash had a extra lip below the bumper cover.

Bumper is from 91 Civic si, and lower airdam from late 90's Ford Ranger Splash, both narrowed to fit.

I'm planning to check out the plastic air dam off a Chevy S-10 to see if it will fit with minimal work.

What did Cam do to narrow the Ford Ranger piece? Did he cut it in the middle and re-spliced it? Does anyone know what work went in making it fit?

I don't know for sure , but the standard procedure for that , after you get your measurements and figure out how much needs removed , then you split the difference and measure out from the center each side to make it even , cut out that part and weld it back together , that way you are moving both sides in at the same distance , I personally have never cut a bumper down , but you would need to have it refinished I am sure and re chromed if you are going chrome , or just fill it in like body work and paint to match , after you weld it up an smooth it .
                          Hope that helps.

Yeah, that helps. It helps me to decide I probably will never try that.

I figured that that is what he did. I was just hoping that it would have been easier. I thought the Ranger piece was plastic? What I like about it is the possibility of adding in some nice driving lights, but again, not if it's going to be that much trouble. I'll keep looking for other alternatives. 8)

I'm sure it could be done with just the plastic cover if all your doing is adding a lower lip. Its just a matter of taking the appropriate amount out of the middle. molding the two halves back together. Smooth everything out paint it and mount it up. Fairly simple and in expensive to do.
