I'm not trying to take anything away from the install or the fitment. Looking at the pics I was simply thinking about possible interference if door pockets were present.

The seats do look comfy.

Nope! No interference there either. I have door pockets (not installed ..... hmmm, why not?) But there is room for the door pockets.

A word ...

My son and I went to PnP monday to see what we could get for his "hot rod truck". I walked around and there were quite a few Montana's there. Seem to be dieing early deaths? Well, it is a Pontiac! lol

One thing I noticed was EVERY Montana had different seats in them. How many seats did they make for them?
Most of the ones I saw, were IMO, ugly!
One set of seats were this ugly biege/brown tweed pattern .... I almost gagged !

One set of gray leather seats .... Gag!!!

Wow, the first and only seats I seen, and liked, are the ones first ones I seen, and are now in my Festy!

Soft, fuzzy, gray cloth seats, with a pattern similar to some Festy seats. I have a split rear festy seat to go in and the patterns are very close, though the colors are different, but not that noticable.

Don't see your name on the list yet either Dan. I do plan to come this year but won't add my name until
about a couple of weeks before. I've added my name early in the past and then had to cancel.
Also have to decide which Festiva to drive. If it was closer, I would arrange to take all four.

Great job and writeup. I like the pic showing the bottoms of the two seats. Defeinitely higher-tech springing in the Montana's. Seats look great in there--and dual armrests!?!?

Those look great. :thumbleft: I used to have a Festiva prior to joining FF (currently trying to find another one) and I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what to do with those seat mounts... I basically gave up, BUT NOW I'm totally going to do a seat swap on my next little guy. thanks a bunch!

Go for it! It's a little work, but not all that bad, especially if you have some tools and a welder.
I took my time and it didnt take that long once I got started.

I had to go look at the pics, sure enuf, there is was!
My fork I use at work made it to the Festy somehow. Took a couple days to remember to take it back

.... and the ol' Festy really does need a past due cleaning!

Took the Montana seats to the car wash today!! They were very odorific!!!! :nightmare:

Didnt notice it until after the install. Seems on hot days it was really bad!
At first, it almost smelled like an exhaust leak, then I realized it was animal urine/excrement!

When I hosed them down, the water was coming out dark brown, especially the passenger seat. There was also some kinda dried food product in the back of seat storage pocket!
And to think I was sitting on those seats!!! Yuck!!!

All better now, letting them dry in the sun. Hopefully they'll dry before the rain saturday evening.

I gots the EB-GB's now, heading for the shower!!!
