  • Car Covers

I read that using a tarp is bad news bears, and that cheap covers are just as bad. I'm leaving for college and it is unlikely that any members of my family will be using it (Read, I don't trust them with it). Anybody got ideas for car covers under $100, it'll be parked on part of our paved driveway so I don't think I can do one of those garage tent things.

    Thanks

I bought a cover off of the bay which said it was a perfect fit. Not true. If you knew someone with an indusrial sewing machine, you should cut the fabric yourself and have it sewn together. It's 100% straight stitches. It would probably take only twenty minutes to sew it. That way it would be a perfect fit and not all poofy for the wind to get under and rip it off.

I would buy a top-quality one that breathes well, so condnesation does not get trapped under it. Just go to a McParts store and get their best one in the smallest size they have.

Covercraft makes covers for the Festiva. I have a cover for the Festiva and I think it came from them. They have a ton of types of covers, but some of them are cheaper. A bunch on automotive websites sell their stuff. Summitracing.com has their Block-it 380 model for $106 and the cheaper model for $67.
