  • just put a muffler on

Okay so I went from a strait pipe exhaust, nothing but a resignator pipe, to a muffler, BLAAHHH!

I admit its nice for cruising on the high way, but its just way to quite when you want to get some looks, and lets face it my car is really about looks.

I guess I am going to have to save up for a electronic cutoff so I can put in a Y pipe, and bounce back and forth to the strait pipe :-)

why don't you just get a performance muffler. they make it sounds better while making it louder as well. even those ricey mufflers are straight through with just sound dampening around them... go for one of those

WEll I don't want one of those coffee cans on my car, but if I can find a decent looking P muffler with no more than a 2 1/2 tip I would get it.

I have a Magnaflow with 2" centered inlet and outlet pipes. It sounds nice on my ATX, but I think it is a bit loud when I get on the gas. I might swap this one onto my '92L and get a muffler with staggered pipes on it. I think it would be quieter.

My muffler was about $70, IIRC.

turbopack from racerparts wholesale in indiana, $14.00! and sounds nice and mellow, no rice.

Its basiclly a turbo muffler in a glasspack case.

I had one on my 92L and it worked great!
