  • Window tinting

I was wondering if the do it yourself window tinting is easy to do? There's precut kits available on Ebay for $34.95. Or is it better to pay someone to intall it .... I don't want the bubble look I see on some tint jobs. Thanks.

    i got mine installed. 75$

    =]

looks great, no bubbles. but i scratched it on accident when i bought my exhaust and put it in the car.. its only a lil scratch.

id say you could do the two side vents yourself... but some states you have to have that lil cerified print on the corner so i dont know.

i did mine by my self. I bought stuff from walmart for 12$ each. 1 roll will cover to two rear windows and you will need 1 roll per front window. Do your self a favor and TAKE OUT THE WINDOWS. I tried to put the tint on the front pass side window with the window still in the car and i ended up just ruining an exspencive piece of plastic. Its really really REALLY easy to take out the front side windows. Just take off the side panel, peal back the plastic and its onlt two screws that hold the window onto the lever system. Took me about 10 minutes to get the window out, i really wish i did that before i wasted an intire peice of tint film..

good luck! i would not sudgest doing the rear window your self though because just from experiance the from the fronts doing the rear window will be VERY hard...

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

Im not crappin on anyone here but you get what you pay for. when you see people driving around with huge bubbles and fadded purple tint it's cause the didn't pay the money to have it installed and with paying a pro they used quality tint that wont fade. Im not shitting on anyone its just my 2 Cents
Wait what kinda car is that!!! Oh yeah thats a ASPIRE

          hah.

the only reason i paid 75$ and not 150$ like the normal price. is because the guy that owns the shop likes my festiva. and loves festivas in general.

if you ever want window tint for a festiva and live around cleveland. i know were to get your tint

I am going to try to tint mine before Friday , I am just going to take the rear windows out ,lay them on some cardboard and tint them ,it will be alot easier working on them flat ,rather that doing them in the car .
If you use a little dish soap in the water as you apply it ,it make it impossible to mess up.

The door glass is also real easy to take out. Just make sure it's in the tracks when you reinstall it.

That's what they told me too, but I was able to open the rear windows and sunroof along with the vents it was OK. Or I just turned on the A/C!
