PA allows any level tint AFTER the front doors provided you have 2 side view mirrors (one per side). NOTHING is allowed on the windshield unless it's ABOVE the AS1 line. the front windows are 70% max but you can easily get away with 50%. i like 35 on the hatch, and 20% on the wings, no need for tint on the front as the 35+20 darkens the whole car...

The laws on every site I read says %70 on all windows.

Learn Pennsylvania's Window Tint Laws to avoid a ticket. We also have guides on how to medically bypass these laws if you meet certain conditions!

Do you by chance have any references for current law in pa that I could read because its hard to find more reputable sites
That clearly spell out state law.

The law is vague and says as long as you can see through the windows it fine.
But penndot says %70 on all windows (as far as I can find)
      Running 40psi.....in my tires.

^ then if that 70% is correct, most of the minivans being made today already violate that law, and that's straight from the factory. being an Inspection tech, i inquired about the tint limits, and was directed to the PSP, as they are the only ones who inforce that law, and the info i posted above was what i was told. you can literaly paint your windows black as long as there's no tint on the front 3 pieces of glazing and you have 2 side view mirrors... think box truck here, same rules apply.

Legal tint in Florida is 18% or greater as in lighter the tint. I have 20% on side windows and 5% on the back with a 5% strip on the front. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1385995877.764019.jpg

I'm thinking 20 all around and a 5 strip up front would be good. Gonna see what's the best way to go; local installer or DIY. Generally anything custom car wise is best left to DIY here. There is very little demand, and what I've seen done paid(by local jobber types) is horrible looking. The only real shop that does it is the ONLY one that does anything like that in the area. Probably BIG $$. I won't have the car till early next year, so I have time to ponder.

I did 5%pass/95%block all the way around on every vehicle. Even factory tinted glass gets 5%.

Everything full except windshield, which gets a 5" strip full width, top and bottom.
