My idea is to stick adhesive LED strips around the magnets of the rear speakers to illuminate the cargo area better than the stock light. Then if a switch is necessary, tracing a stock switch hole in the dash and cutting it out of the rear plastic would give the ability to light the back on both sides, almost 360 degrees.

I used to put a ring of lights in my engine compartment to light all the chrome up at night when I used to cruise without a hood. Used to attract attention by flashing the lights on and off rapidly.
I installed under dash courtesy lamps instead.
I have wires in the door for future consideration.
I want to keep my cargo area stock.

ebay has the daily deals of 3 meters of leds for 5 bucks shipped. It's a 2-3 week wait from china but whatever. I plan to do away with my outside license lights and putting a strip under there for more of a mood glow--not 2 obnoxious 194 direct replacement leds that i have there now. Im going to do the cargo switch and door switch wiring for what you are referring to as well. I have to pull my rear seat out to paint my interior soon anyway. I have an escort cargo light but im not satisfied, i added a cig lighter outlet back there so i can use plug in spotlights as needed but leds are cool just the same, and get cheaper everytime you look1993 GL 5 speed
It's a MazdaFordnKia thing, and you will understand!

Would be nice to see if someone could adapt a Aspire heater/blower assembly to a Festiva so we can get heat out of our upper dash vents. But I am sure that is just a pipe dream, because I am sure they are vastly different in design.1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)

If someone had the smarts to route some manifold vacuum to some vacuum actuators, then a double DIN would not be out of the question. You would just have to sacrifice the two center ducts. I would be willing to bet that this bezel is about the same width as ours. It is made for a double DIN. Now that would look sharp.Last edited by bravekozak; 12-17-2013, 08:02 PM.

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
