I heard that escort seats will fit in the Festiva, and you just have to switch out the rails

What year do they have to be?

I'm looking at seats from a 1998 zx2 model escort.

Older escort like you got you concel from. You don't change rails you change out the bottom cushion and seat back.
there a write up on here. They are tight with the auto belts and escort center concel but you removed your center buckels right?
its an easy swap and there pretty comfortable. Just set a hair higher than festiva seats.

I think I got my console from a mid 90's, this one is 98. I just wanted to make sure they would still fit in. As for the middle seat belts - yes, I removed them completely.... don't tell the cops or my mom please LOL. I also removed the belt of the auto seatbelts, so no belts should be getting in the way. I just wanted to make sure I could follow that guide you showed with these seats too

Tib seats have the seat belts built in. It's convenient to have the belt move with the seat. I removed the auto belts, sawed the auto tracks, added manual belts and changed the buckles. No problemo. I've found blood and teeth at the junk yard. You can tell where the person's head went through the windshield. Buckle up. It's the law!
