  • Seat Frustration

So I have a set of seat that I have no clue what they came out of. They came with a festiva I bought but were not mounted. I have some questions as they have really frustrated me. I looked up how to mount them and did exactly what it said but they don't seem to work so I have a couple of questions.
    1. Does anyone know what they came out of...I know its a ford but not sure which one.
    2. Will they work??
    3. If they do work how do you do it? I got the Festiva rail under this seat and tried to mount the back to the bottom and it don't line up and sets very crooked.

        Seat Frustration

I can't see why they would be sitting crooked. Is the foam in the bottom cushion not flat?

So you undid the old seats bottom cushion from the old rails and springs. Then set the cushion on the Festiva base and zip tie where the old hog rings were back into the cushion. It should bolt right back into the car with the old Festiva base. Just unbolt the backs and put them on the Festiva bases.

Yea i did that. The new seat back is slightly narrower to fit properly. Hard to explain i worked on them for 2 days about 4 hours each day couldn't get them to line up properly so i believe i will sell them or trader for another seat.
The back is what ends up being crooked. I forgot to put that in there. Holes don't line up I even drilled a new one trying to get it to line up and still didn't work.

If the bottom cushion is one piece, there most likely late 80s Escort GT seats.

You could also try posting pics of the actual problem area and get some close-ups. Might help.
