I plan to tear it all out rain permitting. Should i start yanking or is there some finesse needed?

EDIT: Whoops that was my switching to pre-90 Seats. I'm getting confused. I do have some pics of my manual belt swap somewhere too though. Let me look into it.

I do explain it in this video from the :56 mark to the 1:22 mark. It's pretty self explanatory. Since I did swap out to pre-90 seats I also switched to the manual belt style center female connectors, but if you are keeping stock 90+ seats you shouldn't have a problem keeping your female center connectors.

I did run into an issue with the little tab thing on the motor part not being tall enough to lock into the little hole thing like the other ones did. I just ziptied them together. See pics.

There is a little tab sticking out and pointing down on the back side of the the bracket for the motor. This piece should slide into the slot pictured right above it. As seen though it is too short.

I just ziptied together. That was really for bracing and to keep the motor situated straight. In the event of an accident I believe all of the strength comes from the bolt mounted at the bottom of the motor.

And here are both sides mounted before putting my pre-90 trim pieces in...which you will need in order to make this work.

Here is what the pre-90 center female connectors look like.

You will have to cut the trim piece that goes over the door. You also lose two mounting points for that trim piece as they are part of the electric motor track which will get removed.

Hope this helps and feel free to use these photos for a guide or for reference to create your own guide to post as I never did make one. I think I posted the pics somewhere but it was in one of my own threads or on the huge "What did you do today" thread. I couldn't track them down.

Oh im taking out the seats and might not even use my 1989 festiva belts, ill probably weld in a new bracket to hold a seat belt mechanism off something else. I was just meaning how to take out everything intact, to not damage anything, mainly in case members want my stuff for almost free, and if you do reuse things--to not screw it up out of frustration.

Does everyone simply get older festiva pieces and do full convert, or so some of you use oem items off another vehicle? I saw black military humvee belt assemblies not that expensive on ebay for example.

I installed Tib seats and removed the ugly manual seat belt receivers from the floor. The Tib seats have built in seat belts. They are always in the same spot, no matter where you slide the seat.

that is how i plan to do whatever i do, put them on seats but of course once you think you got it right, the console wont work, or when you put in the console, they hit the seatbelts you thought you were so genius putting in and so on. I want black belts, so i might get some china chepies for the time being

If you interchange the seat mounts, you have lots of room for the center console and a center arm rest.
