  • Mud flap install question

I was wondering if any of you guys have installed the oem mud flaps before? How did you attach them? I had been thinking of just drilling some holes and throwing nuts and bolts on there, that seems like the only solid way hahah. Thanks again to 1990new for setting up such a wonderful group buy

I just went to the auto parts store and bought the proper size plastic push rivets. 4 for the rear, and 2 for the front (different sizes). As for the rest of the holes that are not present, I used stainless fenderwell/mudflap screws from an old Mazda Protege at the junkyard. Yes, you will have to drill small holes for the self tapping sheet metal screws. Mine look great and are securely attached. Insert the plastic push rivets first in the existing holes and then start drilling the holes that aren't there. Almost all junkyards do not charge for fasteners.

I installed mine using 2 screws. I used a couple of self tapping screws so I wouldn't have to drill a hole. The second screw is an exisisting oem screw. Mine were small Buick flaps I found in the clearance, I peeled of the glued on Buick plate and WALLAA! The install was about 15 min tops. Easy as cake, crumb cake. I looked but I don't have any pictures..

if they are OEM, they should've included the hardware. 2 3/8" and 1 5/16" hole need drilled in the front fender push nuts but i think the rear bumper cover holes are already there.

They didn't come with any hardware, so I wasn't sure the best route to go. Got it now though! Thanks for the tips fellas
