don't know about the holes but festivas seem to have a problem w/ the door hitting the fender. probably from too many times of people swinging the door open quickly and not stopping it. i couldn't even guess how many festivas i've seen with a different color fender on the drivers side. mine has really needed replacing ever since i got it.

there isn't alot of adjustment but there is some. When I replaced the driver side front fender on my daily driver I installed all the bolts until they were just starting to get snug so I could move the fender around a little bit and it would stay where I put it until I could tighten it downPaul

I checked my 1989 Ford Festiva shop manual, but it doesn't go into any detail on fitment of body parts. Wish I could be of more help.~Jeff

The tab that the fender mounts to between the door and fender probably got bent towards the rear of the car. That's what happened on mine when it got hit. When I put the new fender on it I had to loosen everything up and use a small pry bar with a rag on it to gently pry the fender away from the door. Some of the Festivas had spacers behind some of the mounting bolts as well to help position the fender correctlyPaul
