  • partial console ideas ???

I am trying to think of a way to not have a full center console, but I don't want the shift boot to simply be on the floor like the L models. My idea was to cut a full console just in front of the boot and "fill in" the remainder to match the rear side. Kind of like a partial console so I can use a nice shift boot that isn't mounted on the floor.

OR, any ideas on a nice floor mounted shift boot?

Get one from a 92-95 civic with the pop out cup holders. Put one in mine for a while and was pretty sweet from what I remember

I just came on from the garage thinking, "maybe that would be a good place for a cupholder". Then I come in and seee this ^. Thanks a bunch for the pic I will look into it. What kind of drinke fit into the holder. 20oz bottles? Fountain drinks?

That looks nice. Does the back half work in Festys?

Also consider using consoles from 90-97ish Proteges.

I am trying to get rid of the full console. They are too thick around the front section. I just want to go with something thinner. Not to mention the Escort and Protege cupholders are the worst ever.

Has anyone measured to see if a Toyota Echo console would fit in a Festiva?
Visually, it looks awfully close. A neighbor two doors down from me has a two door one.
I will have my tape measure ready, the next time I see him walking his dog.
