When I make the hoods, I plan on glassing in a complete structural frame for the latch. I hate hood pins, and I'm pretty red neck.

Is it gonna be strong enough that the corners aren't gonna flap in the wind and break off at 160 mph though?

I too hate pins but do you get my point?

An integral frame should do it. Looks like Greg is already on it. :mrgreen:

I would think a small piece of steel rod, like 1/4" running the width of the hood, fibreglassed in place would give something to weld a hood latch too (welded before it got attached to the hood of course) and give some strength to stop the corners of the hood from flapping in the wind lol

I would love a gtx style hood. Perhaps one with hood vents? Always thought it would look sweet with them.

Also maybe a mid-hatch spoiler? One that fits over the rear wiper.

Ok shipping quotes are in....

$50 shipped by me no insurance.

$100 shipped by the ups store, their packaging, $500 insurance.

So I've dropped the price to keep it as close to $200 as possible

So I can do $220 shipped (packaged by me) or $270 with insurance and packaged by the shipping company.

It's still going to cost me for packaging, but I'm trying to keep prices reasonable.
