need tilt column length

anybody know if there is a difference in the length between a festiva adjustable steering column and non adjustable? or any difference between 88/9 and 90/93 columns? reason i ask is i bought this kia pride tilt column. the description indicated it was for up to year 2000, LHD, w/o airbag. looked great till i put it up against a ford 90+ column. the mounting holes line up but the upper shaft including the steering wheel lock hole is a little over an inch longer. maybe it'll look ok using the pride column covers .

I have a tilt column in the basemenr. I will find it and measure it as soon as I get home from church. I never knew that. Maybe that's the reason for the gap between the split surround covers.
