What all parts are needed for the entire conversion? I've seen a few old threads
but I haven't seen anyone compile a parts list or install. There's a guy parting out
an 88 somewhere around central Florida and it has manual seatbelts, but I dont know
what all I'd need as I'd likely only have one shot to grab all the stuff.

You likely will want to grab the belts, A-pillar covers, rear quarter panel covers and the headliner. I did convert mine to manual (97 civic to match the seat) belts a long while ago but I ended up making the above parts custom that should have been in the car if it had come with manual belts. I didn't make rear quarter panel covers but I think they may be different in the cars that had manual belts...........

For the entire conversation you would need headliner a and b pillar trim ,front plastics (in front or rear seat.) I think that's it the rear plastics you would want to keep if you want shoulder belts in the rear. You will have to trim the front plastic where the rear seat pelts attach down low I think at 88 89 only had one hole and 90 93 had 2 so drill a hole there.
Its been a while but I put 89 plastic in a 90. And had to modify it to fit the 90+ trim. And belts. ...I was to slow with that post

Hmmmm...how bad does the headliner look if you dont swap it over? Does it leave a huge gap or something?

Yes, the headliner would be about 2.5 inches short on each side. This will leave the metal exposed and the unfinished edge of the headliner visible..some people would mind, some not so much I would guess ........ That space that the trim on your auto retractors covers now is where your headliner stops,so once you pull them the whole underside will then be visible.....I believe that the headliner actually is also spaced away from the upper portion of the A-pillar iirc....

Not the best pictures in the world, but you can see what it looks like missing the auto-track and a-pillar trim.

I also put my 89 B-pillar trim in my 93 GL.
I sawed through the auto belt track just as it curved down the B-pillar.
I sawed through the trim as well, just slightly lower than the cut auto track, but still above the belt anchor. You hardly notice the non-functioning auto track or the cuts.
I kept most of the trim.

Good solution, thanks. I grabbed the '89 A- and B-pillar trim, and will go the same route as you.

I didn't use any 89 A-pillar trim. The main reason I kept the stock auto track trim was to conceal the wires running up each A-pillar to the lighted vanity visors.
I'm going to Lewison tomorrow to pick up my roof sound deadener. I'll take some pictures when I remove the headliner to apply the butyl. Be very careful sawing through the thin plastic. Use a new sharp blade designed for cutting plastic. The old plastic chips very easily, just looking at it. Do few practice cuts, very low, before attempting the final cut.

OK, got it now. One thing that might help when sawing thru the plastic is to cover it with duct tape first, to help prevent splintering. I will use my Dremel and the diamond saw, and probably make several gentle passes to get thru it.
