    You've built an awesome car!

If you modify a factory passenger side engine mount, you can true up that engine in the bay.

Here is how I did it. Pretty simple mod.

Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Awesome. Now if I can just get motivated to go out and work on mine before it hits 100 Degrees out...

Started installing the Raceland coilover kit. It will be a much important improvement over the horrible cut springs and sleeves that were on it.

          Installed and drums painted up.

Went to work on the front. I used the Kia Rio tops using a washer in between. Once again the horrible previous set up revealed more scary secrets. The former owner used mismatching bolts washers.

The super stiff cut springs versus the new coil overs

            Installed and ready

This is what they used instead of the proper Teflon washers. One side was brass the other side was loc washers.

When I installled the new coilovers i also replaced the front drive axles and found the exhaust would rub on one of the boots. So it gave me an excuse to order a header.

Obx header for a escort GT

              Test fit

The lower pipe didn't fit properly for the clearance that I needed as I am currently using the stock festiva transmission with the Bp motor.

I had a muffler shop cut and reweld the lower pipe to get the angle I needed and it lined up perfectly.

                lower header pipe installed.

Attached to the rest of the exhaust.

With the coilovers and exhaust all done and some nice weather i took in out for a spin to test. Wow the Rio tops make the steering so much better and the suspension is a vast improvement from the stiff horrible junk that was on it. I have the height set at roughly 21 1/4 inches from the ground to the top of the fender opening.

Back on the street for a test between snow falls

With the grill off you get a cool look at the header.

Still need a better wheel alignment and for spring to come.
