  • 5 year search ends!

if nothing else good happens in 2017 this will be worth it. ever since i lucked into a set of narrow 121 bumper covers from germany i have been searching for these as a final touch to my 121 clone. the 121 rear cover has a different edge contour so festiva flaps won't fit. almost daily for 5 years i have run through the new 12l listings on ebay UK and germany and finally a 27 old pair of NOS Mazda flaps popped up. stretching the angst a little further, the seller didn't do paypal so a bank wire transfer added some fees and time but the seller almost gave these away and ended up in my hands for $50 total.
a few parts remain on my "holy grail" list but this was a biggie.

What other parts are on the holy grail list? There's plenty of 121s down here (I have 4 - 2xDA, 2xDW), might be able to assist.

You and I might have to have a conversation about that offer....

$400 will get you a fairly clean, complete 121 - DA, DB or DW(demio). Would cost at least $2000 to ship it to US though.

Fairly easy, it really depends what parts though. Brand new parts, not so much, but for used parts...it's probably every week or so I see a decent, complete 121 advertised for around $400. Same with Aspires (called festivas over here).

i'd love to find a complete mint interior like this with sliding rear seat. i'd like to find a million $ under my pillow when i wake tomorrow too.
for now, i'd be happy to find a like new steering wheel (the flat triangularish horn pad kind) and a like new dash storage tray with underside mounting bracket. otherwise, all exterior bits and decals have been accumulated.

I sold all of my under trays.
I only have the seat bottom left.
The tabs are welded in the proper location.
I took them off once before for another member.
I don't know if he ever welded them in on his seat.

Good luck with your search for a candy stripe interior.

I have 2 of those steering wheels, one of them looks almost new. The dash storage tray, is that the one on top of dash, under the clock?
Have 2 sliding rear seats, one is really good, other is average. The ones from the Demios look very similar too, it wouldnt surprise me if they bolted straight in.

Don't see too many funtops. Wouldn't think there are too many left with the roof in good condition. Looking at the specs, they are about 50kg heavier than the standard model!
