  • DIY paintless dent removal

Has anyone with no experience in auto body work attempted this, and to what results? It's no secret that you look at this car the wrong way and it dents, therefore I've been studying through YouTube on how to take it on myself. I'm very keen on investing in a set of tools as well as making some myself and giving it a try. For those into the field, would you think it's feasible taking it on like this and to what expectations?

I have only seen it done once on a brand new Sienna that I opened the door into a cart at work once. Took it over to my Paint Shop guys and they did a PDR and you couldn't tell that the dent was ever there. This guy has been doing body work for like 20 years though and has all the tools that he needs for the job so results may vary lol

This is the best step by step/ guide to paintless dent repair I have seen.

Go to http://www.ammonyc.com to get your free PDF Guide about "Finding a quality PDR technician".Dents and dings caused from daily driving are the source of ...

I would recommend trying a couple dents on something you don't really care about to get some practice. I have pulled/ hammered out a few dents but it was never on anything that need to look great so I left it when it was still wavy. Every dent and car is a little different so results really vary wildly with skill level and what you are working with.

I bought a glue puller kit to repair a moderate sized dent on my miata. It worked perfectly on single sheet steel, but over the wheel well it is double layered and wouldn't budge. Perfect for small dings / hail dents.

Was thinking about buying this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lu00nOYltgs
          Pretty brilliant.
Another decent vid showing how to make your own tools but it's from 1991 so I'm sure there are some new advances: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20kR9Ic-g70
