  • Faded bumpers...

Look at the top of the bumpers on my car...

See how they are dull and faded? The bumper covers are only two years old... does anyone know how to get them looking good again?

Are you really looking for an answer or is this your way of showing us the engine swap you are doing?

I only picture that showed the bumpers in the condition I am explaining was the one I took today. And if you haven't been following along, that engine (ok, half of it) has been in the car for the last three years. Sorry that I don't give daily updates on what I am doing to my car.

I used a can of paint from my Napa store it is called Bumper Black. It looks great and it seems to hold up pretty well. Not shiny and gay but looks like the stock molded plastic if not a little darker. If you need I can get you a Part # off of the can or if you cant find it up there I can send you some.

Fred, if they're still the bare charcoal gray plastic, try a bottle of "Black Chrome". Our recon guys in the dealer used to us it for just that concern, made them look new. Its in with waxes and tire shine stuff.
