  • Does anyone have the specs for a rallyamerica roll cage?

My welding friend is a good welder and is willing to weld the cage with me but we can't find any sort of requirements for the roll cage and/or where we need it to mount too. If anyone has pics of their cage in their festiva we could easily figure out the rest haha!
    Thanks!

Not sure if rally america is the same but this is a fairly recent thread with some specs. Rally america should list specs of what they expect

this doesn't answer your specific Q but maybe gives a hint of direction. this is a Mazdaspeed roll bar for the festiva compatible with motorsport rules over there at the time. looks like bolt in anchor points but i'm having a hard time envisioning where in the body the brackets would bolt to. here is a grainy pic of a campaigned car with the bar. might give an idea how it was configured. have to use 3D puzzle solving skills.

        Everything you need right here:

For FIA Homologated cages, refer to FIA Appendix J Article 253.8(Safety Cages) .3(For dimensional specs)

What events are you building the car for? Every sanctioning body has their own rules and stipulations. Everyone honors an FIA homoligated cage design, but I'm not sure there is such a thing for a festiva, and you wouldnt want an FIA cage in an autocross car.
