  • Bling bling

I have decided to start a new thread for all those who want to add a little sparkle to their plain Festivas.

I wish I knew about these bolts before Christmas, so that I could have asked Santa to bring me some samples.
    Unfortunately M6 X 12 bolts are $3 each. Ouch.

Out with the old and in with the gold!

        Ooops,

        Gold Stainless steel

I found the stainless bleed nipples.
I have to check to see what size ours is.
        Is it M7x1.0x34mm? or M8?

M8 x 1.0. If you're getting stainless bleed nipples, might as well get the Speed Bleeder ones for true one-person brake bleeding. They don't specifically list Festivas, but they do list the Aspire ones which are the same. Part # is M8100-SS for stainless. Click on "Secure Ordering" to find them.

I have decided to upgrade my power steering hoses.
I have ordered a 14mm banjo bolt to join with some stainless -6 Teflon lines.
It will be a combo with some hard -6 stainless tubing.
The only problem is that the minimum order from Classic Tube is $50.

              Uh, oh!
Our Festivas have multiple M16 X 1.5 flare fittings along the pressure line.
I already spent 30 minutes looking for an adapter. No luck!

Great news! The rack fittings have O-rings.
The pressure and return are both the same size. M16 X 1.5
I can use anything I want for the two unions.

I went to Niagara Custom Plating a couple of days ago and picked up some bling for my engine compartment.
I also dropped off a larger bunch of brackets and parts for chrome plating.
I could count the number of tourists at the Falls on my fingers! Free Parking! Free admission to the observation deck.
I can confirm that the big leak has not been stopped.

I am going to make another K&N filter for my Festiva.
I picked this chrome air filter housing from Niagara Custom Platers.
