  • switch from automatic to manual seatbelts

I have a 1990 manual festiva with automatic seat belts I am having trouble with the seatbelts, and I am not really crazy about them. I understand that there are normal seat belts that are out there that came stock in some festivas. What would I need to make the swap? seatbelts, and the interior trims. How easy are they to find? Assuming that I don;t really have a big problem with the interior panels, could I grab a set of belts out of another car and bolt them onto the pillars? would that pass for inspection?
If anyone has any sources for manual belts and trim pieces let me know.

Everything but the carpet. Literally. Headliner, front seats, all trim pieces, seat belts. A big job to do properly.

88 & 89 had them. you need the belt, and the center piece that they bolt into. Every thing else is optional.

really? new seats and headliner? I guess I guess I was just picturing a new trim panel and new belt clip on the floor where the auto ones clip into. Is the trim piece that takes the place of the one that has the auto belt track not exist? or is it much narrower and that is why you gotta do the headliner also?

The headliners are different. Especially around the door and belt track. The seats in the auto belt cars bolt to the seat belt mounts and the manul belt seats bolt differently.

I have the stock 93 seats in my blue car right now with the manual belts. they seem to work fine. The interior isn't in my car though (no headliner or door trim)
            No festiva for me ATM...
