  • Rollbar Weight and Cost

The rollbar, all finished and ready to be installed, weighs 60-lbs

My original design with smaller diameter and thinner wall tubing was about 25-lbs, but the main hoop would have had to have been custom bent - and I could not find anyone in my area that could/would do it.

The price for material's, shipping included, was $355.00 (includes $100 for professional welding)

A stock 4-point rollbar for a similar car (n one makes one for a older Festiva like ours) was in the $550 range fully welded, plus shipping. So you do safe money doing it yourself.

You need a tubing notcher and a welder to be able to tack it together to take to a professional welder.

    Pretty fun project!
