  • Where do y'all mount your gages?

I've been trying to find a good place to mount gauges and am looking for ideas.

I don't really want to mount them under the ashtray because you have to really look to see them. I'd like them somewhere where I can see them out of the corner of my eye.

Are there any dash pods that look like they belong? Anyone mount them where the vents go or where the switches are in the instrument cluster bezel?

i mounted mine right of the steering wheel on the flat part of the dash with autometer universal cups. I like the way it looks.

Yes, that's a good idea. Do you have any pictures? I'm curious to see how yours looks. How many gauges do you have?

IIRC, This A pillar pod was for an early miata.. I got it from Simon's Pimptiva..

Here's a better pic that shows the dash edge and pod better..

That's another good place. I was hoping not to draw too much attention to this car, but I'll put some gauges there. I was hoping to put say EGT and wideband there or whatever I buy in the future to keep track of mods (EGT, Wideband probably)

Right now I have boost, oil pressure, water temp to put somewhere. I think boost will go well right on the steering column.

that's why i put mine on the dash..... i never ikes those universal pods that never fit worth a damn, and they look like they don't belong on the pillar.

BTW i have 2 gauges as of now A/F and Oil pressure. I going to Missouri in 3 days I'll take some pictues when i return on the following sunday.

I'm mounting my SAFC-2 in the untility bin under the radio, and the boost gauge and turbo timer within the stock gauge cluster.

            Good luck with it!

Actually that one isn't a universal pod.. it's a Miata pod and it's on the autobelt A pillar. To each their own. I personally don't think it looks bad. And will install another on my BP car..

I will be installing fuel pressure and boost guges on the piller. I have that in both my truck and Mustang.

DJ is right... It's from a 90-99 Miata and it fits "ALMOST" perfectly on the Festiva pillar.

i wounldnt have the boost gauge any where else besides a-pilar or where i have it. i love to have oil temp and presure availible to look at along with a wideband o2, but boost is the one thing where if you dont catch it the first time you might blow up your engine lol.

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

Its a 10lb NOS blue bottle, I just had it polished. I wish I could get 2 5# bottles to be able to hide easier but this will work behind the backseat for no more than it will be used.
