  • Intermittent wiper module

I need help installing my intermittent wiper module.

When I screwed everything together, the windshield washer was on, and you couldn't turn it off again. :x The wiper stock just would budge.

I've tested the module, not scewed to the steering column, and it seems to be working fine.

What did I do wrong? How can I fix this? At least I now have a very clean windshield.

Sounds like the stalk isn't seated properly.

Pop the stalk into place on the steering column first, turn it to the off position and make sure it moves freely. Then line up the gap in the white tab thing with the gap in the black thing on the module so they make one big gap at the end. Then you should be able to simply pop the module on and screw it in.

I'm going by memory here; the stalk postion might be backwards but I'm 75% sure that's how you do it.

It's difficult to describe - one picture would answer it all - but I don't have my camera handy.

    Good luck!

Thanks Tim, but I think I figured it out.

So the washer is now functioning correctly, but the wipers are either on slow or fast! I think the stalk is not in the module at the right place.

This thing is trickier to install than I thought. I broke the small tab on your stalk, so I am using the original stalck, They look identical, it just doesn't say INT on it.

I have 2 orange stalks that say have the Int printing on it... I'll send one to you if you want to pay shipping.

          All done

I'll pass on the stalk, Simon. I finally used the one that has the INT on it. It was just a bit trickier staying in place to install the module.

This swap is easy to do, once you've done one and no where everything goes.

Get a stubby Philipps screwdriver if you're goign to do this swap, I didn't, I used a ratchet set with a screwdriver bit, it was no fun and I drop the screw at least 100 times

Glad it worked OK for you!

The first time is always the hardest, after that it's really easy.
