  • My new grill

It's 90% done. Still needs finish paint and the mesh powdercoated.

I started with a stock early grill, removed the center bar and re-shaped the sides.

I then purchased some clips used to secure wire behind walls and epoxyed them to the grills inner lip, this wasn't as strong as i wanted to so i fiberglassed over the epoxy for a super strong/secure bond.

I did this in multiple locations on the grill.

The grill can now simply be attatched from the back by looping zip-ties thru the mesh and around the clips.

The mesh is Gutter guard available at Home depot for under a dollar. I located and trimmed the mesh so that one of the holes aligned with the bottom mounting hole in the center of the grill to maintain a secure attatchment to the car, this should make for a very sleek "hidden" mounting point.

Looks real good Josh !! .

I bent little tabs of the mesh on mine and screwed it from the side into the little supports on the back , so I would not have any screws showing , or would not need to use a glue or epoxy

That's the same stuff I used. Gutter guard - cheap, for a few $'s and you get enough for 5 cars.
