  • DIY Custom Festiva Lowback Seats

Hey guys i was taking a look at my oh so nice aspire seats in my parts car and remembered how much more supportive and comfy they are than my festiva seats. Well the seat brackets are slightly different, but i took em apart and found out that the seat frames are identical, the aspire just came with much thicker foam with more pronounced side bolsters. so i promptly decided to swap the foam and upholstery from my uber nice deluxe aspire seats onto my festiva seat frames. While I was at it i decided to solve my second gripe about the festiva and aspire seats...the dumb looking integrated headrest. I have always liked the look of low-back buckets, like they put in many high end hot rods, and it's a very simple change that will change the whole look of the interior. I'm gonna post some pics in the Photo section and if there is any interest I'll do a tech article to walk anyone else through it. Here is a taste of what it'll look like, with just the foam in place (still has stock lower foam on)

the rest of the pics so far and updates will be in the photo section.
