  • puzzling switch

    ok i got 4 pride switches from germany. 2 power window, 1 fog ,and this. fits perfect in the bezel or dash knockouts but what the heck is the rotary lamp switch for. anybody?

      it almost looks like it's suppose to move your headlights/foglights up or down or maybe brightness. just guessing. idk.

        its just like the floor switch on the european mercedes benz [ with euro headlights]

        usually vacuum operated, it adjusts your headlights heighthfrom standard heighth to to much higher

        outlawed in the USA, by DOT standards

          Yeah the STi & evo have them over here. manually adjusts the height of the headlamps.

            thanks guys. you iz right. research shows the switch is for leveling the headlight when there is a heavy load in the trunk/cargo area. the switch operates stepper motors in the headlight assembly and i think it said that that 0 is normal position. i think its a cool safety feature but sad to say i don't think the avg. american driver wants that much involvement with their vehicles.

              That would be a cool option to have on a Festiva , I know Brian would want one .
