aspire cup holders

hey is it just me or does the aspire cup holders SUCK.
what mods would yall suggest so that the cups dont get in the way of my radio or putting the car in park/taking out of park/ plus i cant put to big of a cup in it, it sucks. anyway any suggestions are great but probally wont do anything for a while, as news of DJ's death is kinda like i dont want to do anything to the car.

I hate that mine shuts all the time! So if I take a drink, then I have to use two hands to pull it back out and set my drink down.

this is the problem with the aspires cup holders, look at location(getting posted on both fa.com and ff.com so including this for those that dont know what ours look like)




if we could relocate these


we could put a cup holder there, which is a whole lot better spot for it. but i was looking around today and look at this



that is the cubby under the radio, that would ALMOST fit in the slot where the knobs are, just a little cutting on the dash it would fit, so anyone know any cupholders bout that size from another car?

and the knob cluster almost fits inside the cubby,


figured id ask if anyone has noticed this and tried anything,
