what do rear wiper setups usually go for? i kinda want one, but there crazy rare around here.

Here the California jy have plenty of Festiva rear wiper setups and I think swap the hatchback door much more easy than pain take off the nozzle spray and drilling hole for rear wiper motor. I wonder how many you have seen in there come with rear wiper options?

I have a extra hatch with whiper assembly, I could sell it to you for 50 US dollars. But shipping would be a fortune, if you happened to come to a meet I could bring it with me, but I am guessing Manitoba is pretty far away from New York.

Freshtiva just did this swap on his car, said it wasn't to hard to drill hole and mount the wiper. Just measure several times and drill once!

Yeah, i read freshtiva's posts about his install and it seems easy.

I go to the yards like... every weekend and i've never seen a festiva with a rear wiper/washer setup. On the road i think i saw one... once... it was a black sport.

They are pretty common around here. All three I have owned had rear wipers.

Id say 9/10 festys around here are base models... and theres only like 10 on the road I think i saw an 1990 LX once and then that black sport. The rest are beater L models.

stefan have you looked at the rear wiper off a 91-96 escort station wagon? I test fit one to a festy at the yard the other day and it has the same mounting points, only it has three mounting holes and the stock one has four. It bolts right up, all you have to do is swap plugs, and then you'll have a rear wiper that lays flat when its turned off rather than sticking up like the stock festy one. Plus the escorts are usually easier to find than rear wiper festies. If you'd rather have a factory festiva motor and arm I should be able to get one while I'm at the JY tomorrow for about $20... I'm also going to pic up an escort one for myself to go on the silver. Just let me know if ya want the festy one, they had one on sunday.
