  • Rolled some paint today

    Im getting sick of body work so i took the day off to experiment with rolling tremcald. I put 2 coats on my fenders to test out the color. 8)



    Looking ok so far. I dont think i tinned the paint enough though. I was getting bubbles.

        What kind of paint are you useing. If i can fix up the body on my car for under 500$ then i might just do it to try and get some extra cash when i sell it

        Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

            yup, rustoleum is pretty much the US equlivent. check out the $50 paint job sticky at the top of this forum

              looks good!
              adding a little more thinner should help... also make sure the first time you "roll over" it you get enough paint on to cover, and then roll back over it w/ just the weight of the roller to help get rid of the bubles faster.
              when thined the viscosity should be slightly greater than like water, but less than that of milk. "observe" how when you stick something into milk and then let it drip the drop and ripples are very defined... then try the same w/ watter.. and it should be somewhere inbetween. i don't go by the amount of thinner any more, but rather just have a "feel" for it.
