  • Headlight covers. Used? How to?

Heya. I still (after several months of looking) can't find any Festiva headlight covers, nor can I find much info on molding plastics, and what kind of plastic would be appropriate for a headlight cover.

    Any thoughts or ideas?

I think I finally dug up a good bit of information on molding polycarbonate last night! And, it was actually headlight related. Now I've got to make some molds.

I just bought a set of Ebay 2 months ago. The guy had many more sets new still. His Ebay ID is cornhole4sale, try to see if they are still available. These are new sets!

there made by the company GTO, thats where i got my set from

              1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
              1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

GT Styling doesn't make them anymore. Any that can be found are NOS. (new old stock) Haven't made mine yet. I've been busy (when I can actually get into the garage) trying to track down this stupid coolant leak.

Shop for car protection film at Lamin-x. We are your manufacturer and design source for automotive protection film and other products like headlight covers, tail light covers, and more. Order automotive films from Lamin-x.

Let me know if you want any. I'm a dealer and therefore get slightly better pricing. Sadly, I don't think they'll have precuts. So either I'd have to cut it and mail it or you'd have to figure it out and cut it yourself. Festiva headlights are easy though.

Doing something like a Dodge Intrepid or a new F150 takes some skill!

Thanks, Dan, but I'm trying to build covers to go over my round headlight conversion, so I need a solid rather than film product. I'll get around to figuring this out, hopefully soon...I've got a car show to go to in July.

Wait, so you're putting in round headlights and want to cover them up with a square piece of plastic to cover up any gap?

Or are you just covering up the round part to tint it?

He needs them to fill the area that used to have the regular square glass in it....to give it a finished look.

Maybe I'm picturing this wrong in my head.

But why not make it out of word, cut holes to mount the lights in, paint it black, problem solved.

Or does it have to be transparent?
