  • Easy way to darken bumpers

Well it seems I'm not the only one with light gray bumpers. I just took some steel wool and went to town on my bumpers. They got a little darker. Overall success

Bumper paint works well...I used black but I am undecided if I am going to change to gray...I also have color matched bumper covers to put on now too....hehehe.

A little horsey gave them to me....lol!
It was really easy to paint them... I just cleaned it up and taped off everything I didn't want paint on and went to town on it....came out pretty nice.

I tried that bumper black from Bondo , It lasted 1 week and peeled off.

I have always used tire wet , looks good for a week or so , if it does not rain ..

I just bought some Mothers .."Back to Black" ,WOW ..it looks great , easy to use , not messy like that bumper black .

I washed the car tonight , it did not faze it at all , still looks like it did when I put it on .

i also used a dark grey bumper paint on Scrapy and there's no sign of chipping or pealing (2 year old paint) Duplicolor makes the stuff and it looks great. I also used it on my interior pannels and they turned out just as well.
