Hey people, bought a tachometer from wilco, it says to attach the red wire and white to the fusebox, does it matter which fuses? and where i can put my closest chassis ground, and where i can get at the harness tach wire.

There should be four wires, RED + from battery, BLK Ground, WHITE is usually for the backlight, needs to run to
the light switch, if you run it right from the + it will stay on all the time and drain your battery. The 4th wire is
signal GREEN on my IEQUUS tach and runs to the tach signal on the coil. -ChrisNothing says "triumph of enthusiasm over physics" like a Front Wheel Drive race car.

Chris got it... Personally, I'd do the red to a source like your cigarette lighter - that way you've only got power when the car is turned on; the white (backlight) can go to the headlight switch... Ground it anywhere. And then you'll need to either run a wire to your coil or you could grab it off the harness that goes into the back of the cluster (I believe it's a yellow wire with a green stripe that you want to tap into.Simon - pimptiva.com

i just hooked up mine as well...i think I'm am going to the back of the cluster for the tach signal wire. One less thing to run into the engine bay. Monday I'm making my 150mph speedo cluster!!---------------------------------------------------

Drill a hole in the dash, and run the wires. Or if you dont want to drill holes run it through the clock bezel cover in the center of the car or down by the a pillar on the left side---------------------------------------------------
