  • Manual front belts

I was doing some thinking. I remember reading someone's post about how they put 88-89 manual belts into there auto belt car. They mentioned something about the top bracket not bolting up or something. Well all the festies up here came with manual belts, and i took a pair out of a 90+ canadian car and they bolted right into my 1990 electric belt US car! Perhaps the manual belt assembles they put in the 90+ canadian cars were different so that they would bolt into the newer unibodys.

just thought this might help anyone doing the conversion

On my 88 there are two holes to mount the shoulder harness to.
From the factory it was mounted in the top hole.
After years of driving the car I realized one day that they could be relocated to the lower one.
I feels a lot better now, but then again i'm kinda short and now the belt doesn't rub against my neck.
