  • power windows, uk/philipinne style!

I've seen pics of these. Door cards with the switches, etc etc. Has anyone succesfully grafted one of these onto a festy?

I know simon had gone the after market route with pimptiva ver 3.0, but I'm curious to know if the wiring is present in our cars?

I think the armrests/pannes bolt up but the wiring is not there!

      Hmmm That's too bad.

So far, I've rather enjoyed the fact that the wiring was allready present for the power windows, the trunk light, etc, etc.

(does it show that I dislike doing electrical work?)

I atchuley pulled the power regulators out of a 626 and wired my car all up for power windows, but then those regulators didnt work so the wiring is still in my car ready to go for when i find some 323 regulators.

Its atchuley pretty basic. Im just using a 3 way momentary toggle switch to reverse the motors

The aftermarket stuff wasn't too bad! Cost $90 for the kit and 2~ hours to install. It didn't look factory, but it was nice. I'm debating about them this time... I liked being able to put them down with power, but it's some extra weight too... :\

Was it the wierd winder kit that fits over where the winder arm would normally be?

The after maket kit I saw, looked like a bowl that fit over the door card. The up & down power button were on it. (no window nazi with the passenger window) Eventually the door card tore because of the lateral torque.

Mind you this getup was in a mini austin & a number of years ago...

No, the kind simon is talking about goes inside the door and uses a chain/belt to turn the crank
