Has anyone put a mx3 seat in their festiva?? They had a real nice seat at the junkyard today and i grabbed it. Looks as if would be as easy as the prelude seat swap that someone has done on this board (can't remember who at eh moment)..

Well i can take the sliders off of the bottom of the mx3 seat but they will not bolt up to the sides of the festiva's original mount points---------------------------------------------------

Think the prelude swap was Mattswabb's baby!
I'd know more about it if he left his car outside unattended!
The prelude seats are real nice though!
Just hope my 323 GTX seat swap goes as well as DJ's did!

Congrats festivaWES on your new seats. I agree with Monkeyracing regarding the swapping of the sliders or seat backs. It is so much easier to do some light fabrication to adapt over the complete seat for a swap.
I have seats from a 1988 Toyota Corolla FX16 GTS in my car. They are a cool seat (only cost me $20)and they adapted fairly easily to the Festiva. The track width in the rear matched the Festiva so I just had to stagger the sliders. In the front I was able to sawzall the front mount off of the the Festiva sliders and then weld them up to the FX16's sliders.
Just takes a little work, but no need to limit yourself to Ford/Mazda seats.1991 L 408,000 miles+ w/NEW B3 longblock!!

yeah my seats cost me 40 and some flat 3/16 stock iron. 3 pieces of metal and drilling 6 bolt holes is alot less work then swaping just the back part of the seat...IMO. Only one small tear; the lower part of the bolster in the drivers seat. There ugly as sin in color (two-tone brown). At least when i take someone for a ride I won't have the worries of cleaning stains out of it.---------------------------------------------------
