RX-7 Steering Wheel.

I found a steering wheel in an early RX-7 today. It seems the splines are the same, but the wheel doesn't want to seat all the way onto the Festiva column.

Any thoughts?

I removed a little material from the back side of the hub, where it first slips over the column, immediately before the splines. It fits on okay, but I'm wondering if anyone's dealt with this one before.

Mine was from a '79 RX7. Take care you don't break the little nubs on the white plastic turn signal ring. I broke mine and now have to cancel my own signals like on a military vehicle!

Mine went on with no other problems. When I tightened the hub nut it slid the rest of the way on. It's on Lux right now and feels nice. Still need a horn button and metal horn guts.

Damn. The one I got just won't slide on that last little bit. I may take out the hub and weld in a center from a stock wheel, just the spline center piece
