  • SEATS!

Well after 3 months, my pro car racing seats came in...

Minus the brackets. The "festy specific" brackets...

Oh well, I guess i'm going to have to fab something after all. I was hoping to go for a factory look.

I am somewhat disturbed that they're made by "scat". :?

Noot only that, but it's stitched into the backrest.

I think I'm going to try and pirate the mounting points off a set of dead seats as brackets...

Mon arme a moi, c'est un stylo.

Scat? Sounds poopy... Haha, just kidding.

Those look like a decent set of seats, aside from the wait. I like the holes in the sides for the harnesses to run through. My friend is running a set of Tenzo seats that have the same thing, I might end up running the same thing in this Festiva.

My sparco is in but I had to make the bracket from scratch... Not pretty to say the least but it works. MIG welder and some scrap metal.. Goodluck the Festiva brackets are soooo odd compared to other "normal" cars. -Kyle

Well I tried a test fit, not very promising...

I think I'm going to build a frame out of wood & wrap that up un black vinyl...

Don't have access to a welder.

If you can wait a week or two i can get you pics of the mount i built....but it's a welded piece tho, so you probably wouldn't be able to replicate it.

Don't use wood... My friend has had a seat of seats mounted with only 1 bolt in a hole and the rest is held up by wood mounts they crafted up. It's ghetto as all get out and VERY unsafe.

Find a shop that can weld or bend metal. I had a set of mounts custom bent for $60.

Angle iron, a cut off wheel, and a little buzz box welder, plus a supply of various nutz and boltz

Made my passenger side bracket in a lazy half day, still uses all four stock mounting bolts (well, three bolts, and a nut) comes out in less than a minute for autocross.

The original owner didn't do me such a favor on the driver side, all welded in, and a PAIN to change or remove seat.

I can get a pic or two later this week (crazy week) if needed, but basically I used 2" angle iron for a front and rear, with a section of angle cut off and welded back used to box in one side of the front piece, to make it fairly level right to left.

Hard to explain once I tried to start typing it... but, 4 feet of angle iron left me with 2" left over after I cut all the pieces I needed... OH, I forgot, I used one 4" section of 2" strap too....

I will try to get some pics later.
