Are the tach clusters top lit like regular Festiva clusters, or are they backlit?

my white face was backlit but I saw an orange one once at the JY that appeared to be toplit only. I didn't pull it cause another guy was wanting it and I already had my white one.
        No festiva for me ATM...

They're both; and that's for the orange and the white ones. I replaced the bulbs with a blue LED bulb in my last Festiva and it turned out pretty neat looking, but I'll probably leave this one normal because green is easier to look at. The LED lights made some spots really bright and others pretty dim, which wasn't fun.

It also helps to take the light bar from a non tach and put it on the tach cluster. The non tach ones provide better lighting (more bulbs).

yep 4 versus 2.....but the tach cluster backlight has at least 4 bulbs lighting up the speedo, where as the orange faced only have one bulb.

Alrighty, thanks for the info. I'm going to need to make my own gauge faces when I get my tach cluster, so I can have my speed in kph. I've done this before with backlit clusters, but imagine a toplit cluster would be even easier.
