  • THAT ANNOYING BUZZER

I was looking around trying to find the door ajar buzzer in my 93, because it's driving me insane. I was unsuccessful in locating it by ear, because my ears stopped working after about 30 seconds of listening to it's horrible droning. It's somewhere near the fuse-box under the dash. Anyhoo, has anybody taken theirs out and replaced it? Where is it so I can rip it out? And if possible where could I buy a replacement?

Also does anybody else's buzzer sound for a couple seconds when the car is started? My dad drove this car for 10 years and said it never did that.

Mine does that sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. Usually have the music cranked up too loud for it to bother me.

just unplug it. thats what i did, no ill effects. it's behind the fusebox on the firewall up about a foot or so. has a huge plug with like 8 or so wires. once you unplug it you'll see that it says something about buzzer on the black module.

Found it and removed it...wasn't on the firewall though like you said. Not far off though, kind of straight above the clutch and a few inches towards the drivers seat.

It was probably that your auto seat belts aren't locking home.

I removed my seatbelts entirely and I removed the automatic seatbelt module under the drivers seat, I don't get a warning light or buzzer for my stuff not being hooked up...

anyone that's looking to take it out, just feel around under the steering wheel, and you'll know you found it because the pitch changes a bit when you touch it, then just unplug it. i can understand why it was removed, it's so annoying - drives me crazy.
