I think he said it's somewhere around 10 lbs without paint and glass.

I'm not sure that I would upgrade to it... It doesn't use a latch and so it will need locked with hood pins. Seems a little too easy for someone to get into the insides of the car.

well there are always locking hood pins...i know jc whitney used to sell em, they had one of those cylinder type high security keys...but i didn't know that it couldn't use the stock latch...that is something to think about. i suppose with a little bit of work you could modify it to use the stock latch...glass in some mounting plates and some reinforcement in the latch area...well i know i'd still get one if it is available in cf as well...that would look slick and make up for the weight of some of the sound deadening i'll be adding.

            I would love both.
As I was perfectly drifting past the apex Joey48442 looked at me and yelled "You know, I have never been in a rollover accident before!"... it all went downhill from there.

whats the difference? is dry cf like the 60's muscle car hoods...the flat black instead of gel-coat?

I don't see the big difference between CF and fiberglass except the look.

My FG hood is under 10 lbs with paint. A huge difference than the stock hood. I could see maybe losing a pound or two, but nothing that is going to make a huge world of difference.
